LE\u00d3N GUIDED TOUR<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The tour starts by bus (if possible).The sightseeing by bus is useful to have a first contact with the city and also to visit the Convento<\/i> <\/i>de<\/i> <\/i>San<\/i> <\/i>Marcos.<\/i> <\/i>This XVIth century monument is one of the best examples of Spanish Renaissance. It was first conceived as a hospital and a shelter for pilgrims and it was located outside the old town.<\/p>\n

We will continue towards the Plaza<\/i> <\/i>San<\/i> <\/i>Marcelo <\/i>where we will start our walking tour. Around this area there is the \u201cBotines<\/i> <\/i>House<\/i>\u201d, an outstanding building designed by the famous Catalan architect, Antonio Gaud\u00ed. Next to Gaudi\u2019s building, there is another interesting monument, the Palacio<\/i> <\/i>de<\/i> <\/i>los<\/i> <\/i>Guzmanes<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Our next stop, Saint<\/i> <\/i>Isidoro\u2019s Church,<\/i> <\/i>is <\/i>one of the best examples of Romanesque art in Spain, and the perfect place to know about the Camino<\/i> <\/i>de<\/i> <\/i>Santiago,<\/i> <\/i>a pilgrimage route inscribed on the World Heritage List since 1993. After that, we will go towards the Cathedral, a masterpiece of the Gothic Style of the mid-13th century. The exterior is remarkable, but the interior is really impressive. It is highly recommendable to visit it! The stained glass windows bath the interior of the cathedral in a deep, colourful glow.<\/p>\n

Finally, we will visit the\u00a0Barrio<\/i> <\/i>H\u00famedo,<\/i> <\/i>a charming area, where you can find many bars and restaurants.<\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
